Out of the 8 representatives from Assam, an impressive 5 players clinched medals, solidifying their dominance in Thang-ta.
L. Ranat Singha, competing in the -56kg category for boys, displayed exceptional talent and secured the coveted gold medal. In a thrilling final match against Manipur, L. Ranat Singha emerged victorious, showcasing his prowess in the sport.
L. Aditya Sharma, competing in the -60kg category for boys, exhibited exceptional skills and determination, earning him the silver medal. The final match between Assam and Delhi was closely contested, highlighting L. Aditya Sharma’s expertise in the Thang-ta style of PHUNABA ANISUBA.
The female athletes from Assam also made a significant impact in the competition. Sima Singha, competing in the -56kg category for girls, displayed outstanding skill and clinched the gold medal. The final match between Assam and Madhya Pradesh witnessed a fierce battle, with Sima Singha emerging as the victor.
H. Lenthoi Singha, competing in the -52kg category for girls, showcased her exceptional talent and secured the bronze medal. The final match between Assam and Madhya Pradesh saw H. Lenthoi Singha’s remarkable performance, adding to the team’s success.
Lastly, Memola Devi, competing in the -56kg category for girls, demonstrated her skills in the Thang-ta style of PHUNABA ANISUBA, securing the bronze medal. The intense competition between Assam and Jammu and Kashmir in the final match showcased Memola Devi’s determination and talent.
