Lakhipuronline Digital Desk : Ngangbam Birola Singha, hailing from Cachar Binnakandi Part-II, showcased his swimming prowess at the 19th National Master Swimming Championship organized by the Karnataka Swimming Association under the Swimming Federation of India.
In an impressive display of skill, Singha clinched three gold medals in the 400m, 200m, and 100m freestyle events, while securing a silver medal in the 200m medley. The championship, held at Karnataka’s Yemmekere Swimming Pool in Mangaluru on 24th and 26th, witnessed Singha’s outstanding performance.
This isn’t the first time Singha has made waves in the competition. In the previous 2021-22 Championship, he bagged three gold medals and one bronze, solidifying his position as a formidable force in master swimming.
Hailing from Cachar Binnakandi Part-II, Singha, the youngest son of late Ngangbam Rukini Singha and Ngangbam Ongbi Harongbam Ningol Numitlei Devi, currently serves as a Subedar in the Indian Army. Notably, he participated in the championship representing the Service Sports Control Board.
