Assam CM Set to Inaugurate and Lay Foundation Stone for Developmental Projects in Barak Valley

Lakhipuronline Digital Desk : In a bustling day in Barak Valley, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several vital projects. His visit on Thursday, September 7, 2023, marked a significant moment for the region’s development.

Starting his tour at Kumbhirgram Airport, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma inaugurated the Badri Bridge, symbolizing improved connectivity in the area. He then proceeded to inaugurate the Dungripar Bridge, laying the foundation stone for the Integrated DC Office and Convention Center. Notably, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the Itkhola Ghat Bridge and released Lachit Baraphukon at the District Collector’s office.

The day’s agenda continued with the Chief Minister’s participation in the Jal Jeevan Mission conference at the Silchar District Sports Association ground, highlighting the government’s commitment to water resource development.

In the afternoon, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma made his first-ever appearance in Hailakandi district, where he unveiled a statue of the late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at 3 pm.
The visit sparked excitement and anticipation in both Cachar and Hailakandi districts of Barak Valley, with preparations reaching their final stages to welcome the Chief Minister and witness the positive impact of these projects on the region’s growth.
