A rural school with sterling results

SILCHAR, June 4: The Emmanuel English Higher Secondary School is a school with a difference. The poorest of the poor children from Pailapool and its nearby areas who study in the school are given holistic opportunities to cultivate and reach their fullest potential. Since the school’s inception, its motto has been to provide quality education to its students with a view to inculcating values in them to become morally responsible citizens of the country. The students of the school aspire for bright futures like any other children. The school guides them in making their dreams come true.
The staff and students of Emmanuel English Higher Secondary School are happy to share the excellent results achieved by its students in the HSLC and HS examinations of SEBA, 2015. Out of the 103 students who appeared in the HSLC examination, the pass percentage is 100% and 4 distinctions, 11 star marks and 100 letter marks have been scored by the successful students. Altogether, 57 students obtained first division and 43 students secured second division. One student Ch Nilesh Singha scored full marks in Mathematics. The best result of the school was achieved by Christina Heisnam who scored a total of 544 out of 600 marks in HSLC examination.
In the higher secondary (HS) examination also the school achieved cent percent results. 7 students from the arts stream who appeared for the examinations, 6 of them got second divisions and 1 third division. A very elated Urirei Singh, principal of the school, said, “Our School has the distinction of one of the best results among the rural educational institutions. We, the administrative and teaching staff, cannot but express our thankfulness to parents and guardians and congratulate the students for their hard labour and studious studies to achieve better results.” The teachers too have their contributions in reaching the goal of success.
