Lakhipuronline Digital Desk – The World Meetei Council (WMC) announced with profound grief the untimely demise of Shri Thaunawjam Brajamohon, the respected President of the WMC Assam Unit. He left us suddenly on January 8th, 2025.
The good work of Shri Brajamohon in the WMC organization is highly unique and selfless service towards society, which will be there for ages. Shri Brajamohan’s concerted efforts towards implementation of the Scheduled Tribes list for Assam Meeteis and his very strong work for service to the soil will always remain in memory.
True guiding light, Shri Brajamohon was both a dedicated professional and a kind-hearted individual inspiring everyone around him to be more humane. Loss to him has left an irreparable void felt deeply by family, friends, colleagues, and the entire community he served with so much passion.
He said, “Gone but never forgotten.” In a statement, WMC’s Secretary General of the Central Executive Committee, Yambem Arun Meetei also expressed heartfelt condolences and prayers for Shri Brajamohon’s family and loved ones during this sorrowful time.
