Jiribam, March 10, 2025: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Jiribam, Krishna Kumar, IAS, has issued a public appeal urging the people of the district to uphold peace, unity, and communal harmony.
In his message, the DC highlighted Jiribam’s long-standing tradition of brotherhood, cultural diversity, and mutual respect. He emphasized that maintaining these values is essential for a prosperous and peaceful society.
Acknowledging recent incidents that have caused concern among residents, the DC reassured the public that the District Administration, in coordination with security forces, is committed to ensuring safety and stability. He noted that peace has been maintained in the district for several months, and efforts are ongoing to restore normalcy through cooperation with law enforcement agencies, civil society organizations, and community leaders.
He urged citizens to remain calm, avoid spreading rumors, and trust the administration to address any concerns through proper channels. Stressing the importance of non-violence, tolerance, and mutual understanding, he called upon everyone to support the authorities in maintaining peace.
The DC concluded his appeal with a call for unity, urging the people of Jiribam to work together for a brighter and safer future.
