Lakhipuronline Digital Desk: The educational community mourns the loss of Mr. Brahmacharimayum Kunjamohan Sharma, a highly regarded and influential educator, who passed away on July 18, 2023, after a courageous fight against illness. Born on January 5, 1963, in Malugram, Dholai, Mr. Sharma dedicated his life to the pursuit of knowledge and made significant contributions to the field of education.

Mr. Sharma’s academic journey began after completing his High School education at BNMP in Dholai. He pursued his passion for chemistry and excelled in his studies, earning a BSc degree with honors from GC College in 1989. He continued his academic achievements by obtaining an MSc in Chemistry, where he received a first-class degree from Gauhati University in 1991.
After starting his teaching career at Central School in Silchar, Mr. Sharma quickly gained recognition for his exceptional teaching abilities and dedication to nurturing young minds. His influence extended beyond the classroom, as he inspired and guided numerous students who went on to achieve success in various fields, such as medicine, engineering, science, and academia.
In 1997, seeking new opportunities, Mr. Sharma relocated to Kolasib, Mizoram, where he joined St. John’s Higher Secondary School as a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry. His unwavering commitment to his students and craft made him an integral part of the academic community. Over his illustrious career spanning 26 years, he earned respect and recognition, eventually attaining the esteemed rank of Selection Grade Lecturer.
However, in July 2020, Mr. Sharma received a life-altering diagnosis of lymphoma. Undeterred by the challenge, he sought treatment at CMC, Vellore, and underwent chemotherapy with remarkable strength and resilience, serving as an inspiration to all.
After retiring from his position on December 31, 2022, Mr. Sharma faced new health challenges. Three years into his treatment, he began experiencing symptoms associated with a neuromuscular condition and developed aspiration pneumonia. He received specialized care at Cachar Cancer Hospital but, unfortunately, his health rapidly deteriorated. On July 18, 2023, he passed away due to respiratory failure.
The loss of Mr. Brahmacharimayum Kunjamohan Sharma is deeply felt by the educational community, as his passion for teaching, unwavering dedication, and transformative influence will be remembered and cherished. His contributions to the field of education will continue to shape the lives of many.
