Ex-Servicemen Rally in Lakhipur Sub Division Addresses Welfare Concerns

Lakhipuronline Digital Desk : In a significant gathering, the Zila Sainik Welfare Office in Silchar, with support from the Ex-Servicemen Association Pailapool, organized a rally for all ex-servicemen, widows, and their dependents at the Pailapool Community Hall (Laboc Road) on February 29, 2024.

Approximately 220 ex-servicemen, widows, and their dependents actively participated in the event, which commenced at 9:30 AM and concluded at 2:30 PM. The medical team from Mashimpur Military Hospital conducted comprehensive health check-ups for all attendees.

Colonel Ajendar Patwal, Administrative Commandant of Mashimpur Military Station, Colonel Biswajit Sinha (Retired), Vice President Zila Sainik Board Cachar, Major PH Manidhon Singha (Retired) Headmaster M Dev Singh Memorial Academy, and Lt Col TH Kunjalal Singha (Retired), Zila Sainik Welfare Officer Cachar, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guests of Honor, respectively.

The rally provided a platform to elaborate on the latest pension policies and other welfare benefit schemes. The Zila Sainik Welfare Officer and other dignitaries present briefed all ex-servicemen and widows about the crucial details.

Furthermore, three war widows and four ex-servicemen above the age of 80 from Lakhipur Sub Division were felicitated during the rally by the Zila Sainik Welfare Office, Silchar, acknowledging their valuable contributions.
