Lakhipuronline Digital Desk : In a bid to address growing concerns about the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in India, citizens and advocates have organized a peaceful gathering named “EVM HATAO SANYUKT MORCHA.” The movement, led by prominent advocates, calls for a thorough examination of EVMs to safeguard the principles of a robust and transparent democracy.

Scheduled for 3:00 PM on 16th January 2024, at the gates of the Supreme Court, this assembly aims to seek an audience with the Chief Justice of India. The organizers emphasize the need for an open dialogue, urging the judiciary to actively engage with public concerns surrounding the potential impact of EVMs on the democratic process.

“All concerned citizens are invited to join this peaceful movement,” states Hajam Rajendra Singha, the authorized signatory. The organizers believe that collective voices can bring positive change, raising awareness and fostering a constructive discussion on the matter.

The movement underscores the importance of citizen participation in ensuring a transparent and accountable democratic process.
