SILCHAR, Nov 17: Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization of Assam, Manipur and Northeast region has made all preparations for celebrating the 85th birthday of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in both Karimganj and Cachar districts through a week-long programme beginning from November 19 in a befitting manner. The programme as chalked out includes round the clock prayer song for global peace, recitation from Vedas, discussion, quiz competition on women’s day, besides cultural programmes.
Rup Narayan Das, district president of the organization based at Karimganj, briefing media persons today added to say that the week-long programme will have devotional songs, dance drama, procession, distribution of materials of utility among the patients of civil hospital and Red Cross Hospital, felicitation to educationists, senior citizens and physically challenged persons and prayer songs in Cachar Cancer Hospital. The press meet was addressed among others by Subrota Das, president of Cachar unit, Nanda Lal Sarada, Sandeep Dey and Arindam Dutta Choudhury.
