Manipuri Students Who Achieved Glorious Success in HSLC Examination Throughout Assam Felicitated
Felicitation to the Manipuri Students who Achieved Glorious Success in the ongoing Year 2025 HSLC Examination Throughout Assam was jointly organized by the Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Assam's Lakhipur District Committee and Cachar District Committee, and held today at Sribar G.P. Community Hall, Cachar.
In that program, Leishungbam Robindra, President, Lakhipur District Committee, Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Assam and Y. Prafullo Kumar, President, Cachar District Committee, Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Assam jointly acted as President (of the presidium). Ganesh Harijan, Inspector of Schools, Cachar, Haorongbam Rajmani, Vice President, Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Assam, and Dr. Thokchom Babachandra, Retd. Associate Professor, G.C. College, Silchar, respectively took seats on the dais as Chief Guest and Honoured Guests.
In this program, the felicitation was conducted for Manipuri students who were identified based on achieving:
(1) 60 percent or more of the aggregate marks,
(2) overall First, Second, and Third position in aggregate marks, and
(3) 100 out of 100 marks in the Manipuri Subject.
It is worth mentioning that this is the first time these two branch offices of the Parishad have given honour and cash awards to the students of Manipuri Medium Schools throughout Assam.
Following the prior announcement by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Assam's Lakhipur District Committee and Cachar District Committee to the public, based on the data submitted by the Manipuri students themselves, from among a total of 188 students, the selected students who secured 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions were given cash awards of Rupees 10,000/-, Rupees 6,000/-, and Rupees 4,000/- respectively. Additionally, to other students, Certificates and Shawls were presented, and a book written by Lairellakpam Champalal himself was also given as a gift.
In his speech as a Presidium member, Leishungbam Robindra also put forward the point that Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Assam, is primarily focused on helping students and Manipuri Medium Schools thrive, and urged all Manipuris to take collective responsibility in this effort.
In the program, many important personalities including Moirangthem Ngouba and Yengkhom Rajbihari also presented many inspiring points in connection with the program.
In overall marks:
First position was secured by Y. Manda Devi from Madan Kulabati H/S School, Lamargram. Father: Y. Rajkumar Singh.
Second position was secured by Lourembam Thajanganbi from Sanarei Meetei H/S School, Hailakandi. Father: Lourembam Merut Singh, Mother: L. Pishakmacha Singh.
Third position was secured by M. Sumedha Singha from Nimaichandpur Hr. Secondary School, Hailakandi. Father: Sekhar Singh, Mother: Nungshitombi Singha.
Those who sponsored the cash award for the First position were Dr. L. Bharati Singh, Nehru College and Th. Ngouba, Guwahati.
Those who sponsored the cash award for the Second position were L. Champalal, Silchar and Dr. L. Bharati Singh, Nehru College.
And those who sponsored the cash award for the Third position were Oinam Biramani, Khunou and Dr. L. Bharati Singh, Nehru College.
